Bought a Gold Plug! Magnetic oil drain plug.

Well after my first oil change I noticed no magnet on my drain plug. My brother told me about these guys check em out Had to search for 2010 2011 not listed yet. Why A Magnetic Oil Drain Plug? Plugs Have A Strong Magnet To Pull Metal From Your Engine

The only thing that has ever had magnetic drain plugs on it when I bought it was my Yamaha products. Both my ATV and my FZ1 had a magnetic drainplug.

The previous owner of my Jetta had one too. I'll likely get one for this truck the next go round. I don't see any way that it could HURT anything. Likely just helps keep more crap out of the engine. That's a good thing no matter how you look at it.

I've got one on mine too. The original one was about stripped when I changed the oil the first time and it was the only one they had at the parts store with the right thread so I figured, why not

Great idea! Military aircraft have them, and for good reason! Just ordered one with the washer. Like you said, didn't have the 10-11' but the 09 engine is almost exactly the same. AP-02

I use the FilterMag on the oil filter, holds everything to the inside wall of the filter.

I've had one on all if my vehicles so far including bikes and atvs. Always thought about the filter mags but never got one. Amazingly every oil change there is always crap on the magnet.

I heard that my Ls1 02" WS6 trans am has one so and just like u said glad I got one.
