2014 RAM, Hemi, 8spd, etc.

I've read all about how to do it with the Diablosport I2 and don't doubt it is a slick way to go, but is there possibly an older generation tuner or some other reliable device I can use to do it?

I know the I2 is faster, touch screen, etc. But I see myself simply loading the tune and never touching it unless necessary. Lots of older diablosport units on ebay but not sure what will work to get a Hemifever tune on my truck.

I understand the concerns about buying used and ensuring it is unlocked from the vehicle it was paired with.

The Hemi Fever tune is free if you get the DS trinity for 599 Moes.

Since your truck is a 2014 the only other one that will be compatible is the inTune i1000 DCX. Do not get a regular i1000 as it only does Mopar through 2010.

My intune i2 cost me 150 from Craigslist. I'll be 325-350 if I buy a custom tune.

+1. The custom tuning, which is definitely worth it, for bolt-on modifications (CAI, headers, throttle body, etc.), or stock, is around $160 or so from Jay Greene or Sean Powell (Hemifever). So make sure when you buy a used i1000 DCX or i2, that you get it cheap enough to not ruin the cost savings with the cost of custom tunes.

I don't bother with used tuners due to the potential headache, but some have had good luck. I buy mine (new) straight from Sean or from Moe's.
