Hey guys!!! I'm a long time follower but just decided to sign up because I finally own the truck that I can really enjoy. I've owned a 2012 Ram but currently upgraded to the color and engine I've always wanted. That being said one of the modifications I wanted to do was tune this truck , after doing research I have found that in order to tune I will have to purchase a unlocked pcm blah blah blah then plug in the tuner ..... I see you guys talk about this a lot but I can't see if anyone has brought up this idea..... My new truck is a 2015 ram express 1500 4x4 with the 5.7 and a 8 speed auto. The first year Ram locked the pcms. Is it possible...... to just purchase a 2014 ram pcm for the 5.7 with a 8 speed auto and simply plug in a diablo trinity and run their tunes or tunes from any other company??...... this would cut the price from 1200+ to maybe half the cost and I would be able to install my original if I had to for warranty purposes. Just picking your brains..... if I got to spend the 1200 and that's my only option then so be it. I plan on doing a zone 6 inch lift with 35 12.5s and would like it to be as peppy as it is now after the lift is installed. Thank you for you time.....
