Just looking for your opinions on the two if any has had both. I have the Maggy 14" now and I want something just a tad bit more aggressive. Is the Progressive louder? Thoughts and opinions are well appreciated.

I have also been thinking the same thing but was considering the competitor series. Any input would be awesome. I also have the 14" maggy

I've never heard maggy14, but I have progressive. I installed it in April and love it. Very nice cold start, nice rumble when driving, but LOUD when I get on it.

Here is my install and sound clips.

I'm thinking the Competitor may be too loud. I don't want to be obnoxious. YouTube videos don't help much in this decision.

Its really only loud when you make it loud. going down the hwy at 70mph you cant even hardly hear mine inside the cab.
very happy with my choice.

That's the Competitor correct? What cab do you have RC, QC, or CC??

Also have the 14" mufflex. Adding 5" tips to the Maggy will make it louder. That's what I did. Cheaper then a new muffler and also looks better then the little OEM tips.

I have 5" tips. Still a little too quiet.

I was wondering the same thing for those with 5" tips did you use the smaller length ones and keep resonators or longer length and remove them? My flowmaster 40 I'm thinking of getting rid of for something a bit deeper but tamer on the inside of truck, would the carven progressive be it or the Maggie 14"?

I can't remember but I think my 5" tips are 14"-16". I still have the resonators. I have the 14" Maggy but want something a little more aggressive. I'm not sure if the Progressive will give me what I want and I'm weary if the Competitor will be too much. I'm in limbo at this point.

It sounds like you need to get the competitor. The only difference in the 14" Maggy and the progressive is the raspiness. If you want to justify the money spent then just go with the competitor. Definitely louder.
