I always go to Shell Gas Stations for their 93 Octane on my HemiFever tune but recently removed the tune. Would it harm the engine to go back to 87 octane fuel since I'm running the stock tune? I've done this before but I did not know if the engine gets used to having the higher octane and changing would cause harm. I'm wondering if it's like changing from Full Synthetic to regular oil.

Shouldn't affect it at all. The sensors will make all the adjustments needed.

I agree. If you went back to stock, I don't think you'll have any problem.

Double check your owners manual, but 89 is the recommended octane not 87.

I have logged many miles using and comparing 87 and 89. No difference in performance or mpg. If I was towing heavy for a distance, I would make sure to use 89.
