Check Engine Light Code P0933

My truck got the code P0933, i found 2 different descriptions of the code.

1. hydrolic pressure sensor range/performance
2. gear shift lock solenoid ctrl circ/open

I got the enging light on saturday, and since the light has come on when i first start my truck and put it in drive it jumps forward. only happens when i first put it in drive, if i wait 30seconds it doest jum.

Any ideas on what a fix would be/how much it would cost to repair

I have a 2012 ram1500 tradesmen 4wd

I just went threw the same thing,
Gear shift Solenoid. Sorry but I completely changed my trans....

No, I'm not keeping my truck at that level anymore. If your anywhere close to Oklahoma I can recommend a couple go dealerships to take it to.

The power I'm already putting to the rear was to much for the stock trans, and I plan on increasing that by a lot.

Im in New York, truck only has 39k miles on it, i have it scheduled to go to a dealer on tuesday.

Inspection was due yesterday and the light came on on saturday

It should be covered by your manufacture warranty.

Its free under warranty. Take it in ASAP before you trash the trans. If its just the solenoid, it is a quick fix.

Yup your truck will go into limp mod, you'll only have 4th gear it sucks....

I'd push for a warranty claim. If dealer says no ask them to elevate to the regional Chrysler rep. Most should do this by default. It's too damn close to 36k. You may need to pitch a fit and threaten to not buy Chrysler again. Doubtful. But sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the oil.

I have several buddies at a local GMC dealer and they automatically push for it.

3/36 Warranty is for bumper to bumper. The powertrain is covered for 5/100,000. You should be good.

My 2012 has 5yr/100k powertrain warranty, too.
