Hello everyone,
Brand new to the site and looking for some helpful information. I have a 2010 ram 1500 SLT with 118k miles. Lately I have noticed a "clicking" sound while coasting to a stop. It sounds almost like those carnival wheels you spin for a prize. Here are some key hints :
1. Comes when I am coasting and sometimes accelerating gradually.
2. Stops when I put the tow/haul mode on.
3. Stops when I put it into manual shift.
I have read while searching through google that it can be the MDS solenoid clicking. If this is true, does this indicate a faulty solenoid(s) or is this another issue?
I have thoroughly checked all u-joints, cv joints, and drive shafts and all are in the decent shape they should be in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
