Thoughts on a cold air induction system for 2016 Ram sport 5.7 L. What is the best and is the vararam ram air a good system. Looking at buying one in Canada and who to get it from.

It looks killer, and i feel it does what it claims to. Added a few ponies, and my mpg went up also. Hope this helps in your decision bud.

Vararam is the way to go. No idea of any parts outlets in Canada. Talk to Moe's Performance on this site for their shipping options.

A friend of mine with a vinyl plotter made it for me bud. Any vinyl graphic place can duplicate it for you also. Just make sure you measure across the top of the intake to keep the decal from rolling down the edges of the top. Everyone that has seen it absolutely LOVES it!!

Just one more option for the Vararam cover if you like or have the silver...

Damn those look awesome!!!!! I didn't even see them when I was looking around. I'm really going to regret my k&n every time I see one of these haha.

Varam is without doubt a great CAI, but I was worried about ingesting snow or slush and chose the S&B instead.
It is well made. Looks great in the engine bay and is not poser loud.
I certainly felt a lil sump'n in the butt dyno.

CAUTION: BEAT TO DEATH PHOTO INSERTED!:puke: I originally had the K&N and got rid of it when I saw the Air Grabber set-up, it's so old school MOPAR looking and functional to boot! Keep an eye out for a used one, they come up from time to time, that's how I got mine for only $100 bucks.

Whats the price of the vararam system? Their webpage does not advertise it.
My single cab is giving me 12mpg :(

I just ordered an S&B today. Every post I've seen on the vararam said the quality was low even though the performance was good. And I didn't like the fact that it looks in the way of any engine work. Just my .02. I already had the full exhaust and a tuner so I figured I'll see if a cai adds anything to that

Moe's a site sponsor so I called down to good ole Texas and ordered me the Vararam, while on the phone I also picked up some long tubes/y pipe, pcm to go with my 14 Diablo T1000 and lastly a catch can. Great manners and most helpful on the phone and he handled all of the shipping north of the 49th. 2200.00 plus the 25% exchange rate nets me a bill of approximately 2800.00 Cdn. I am having one shop install the headers and will hopefully get then to install the cc, Vararam and pcm. If I can get all of these products and the install for right around 4k I will be a happy camper. I know I know do it yourself , are you facking crazy I have trouble adding air into a tire if you know what I mean so not a chance on me doing any of the work. :favorites13: Oh I am told my 12,000 mile R/T should hit 12,001 in short order with the added hp.

A little, but the growl and modestly better pedal response had me into the skinny pedal more way too often for the first couple of weeks. :burnout:

Don't let the DIY mafia get to you Tank.

I can turn a wrench when I have to, and when I want to, but there's no shame in not wanting to--if you've got the cash to support that decision.
Me, I live in semi-temperate Virginia and don't have a garage or a lift, and I'm too old to enjoy lying on my back on the pavement anymore.
That being said, I save my pennies as long as it takes to afford having someone do the work if that's what I want.

Now, a word to the wise, you really should learn a little bit more about vehicles and maintenance and you'll keep more of your cash by not paying too much, or agreeing to work that isn't needed.
There are great honest mechanics out there and once you find him/her stick with them, but there are also scummy jack-wagons that will rob you blind if they think you are ignorant (sadly like many do to women).
