Lol I did shine a light. No mystical purple color changing here lol I just ordered a couple gallons of the new stuff and plan to do a good flush. I got all kinds of trash out when draining to change my tstat. I was shocked. It needs a flush.

Yeah Absouletly ridicoulos... I just had my 13 flushed 3 months ago when I changed my upper and lower hoses to the red silicone and put in my 180 stat. Also mine is identical to all the pics, looks orange in rad, but I am 90% its there new OAT. I also believe they mix it at the dealer in jugs so they can buy in bulk. I'll be visiting my dealer on Monday to find out for sure. I'll report back.

The purple OAT that is usually more of a pink/rose color will turn back to purple when warm/hot.
You may want to warm the engine up.

Very true. Adding just a little new oat in a cup its pinkish/purple the more you add can't mistake it for anything but purple oat. I also read that over time that purple turns more to a pink/orangish from the heat. Did some reading on challenger forum a owner took pics brand new reservoir purple after 2500k looked pink. Key point was If mixing Hoat with Oat is a no no.

Well looks like 185 is its final resting place. The whole hour trip to work it never moved. When I floored it it climbed up to 200 but I was at 120 so time to let off of it. It quickly dropped back to 185 and never went lower. That sound right? Seems like it should cycle down to 183 or so....

Today @ 4,356 miles , cold has not been driven in a week and it's 38°f outside . This is the same system coolant & is absolutely the same Orange tint as my truck with 44k

So , this is plenty proof to me that the Purple OAT coolant does in fact turn Orange with time & heat .

Her car is straightfactory Chrysler Purple OAT , my truck I'm running my second application of RMI-25 , but I've never done any coolant work .

I do remember the first RMI-25 I put in my truck , my coolant wasn't this dark orange , in fact it was pink to the naked eye in the Radiator.
I guess this purple OAT does turn Orange and gets darker orange with time ...

I'm with you, it is probably an honest mistake, but people that believe everything they hear and see from dealers should question where the stand on the Darwin Graph. I mean recalls up the ass, stupid mistakes, over priced work and mis-information is what you get with dealers. Yes, sometimes you have to go to the dealer, but 90% of the time the dealer and manu's garbage has nothing to do with your truck lasting as long as possible.

Another crazy thing is on mopar's black jug the only thing to tell the Hoat from Oat is on label there is
Hoat - 5yr/100k on label
Oat - 10y/150k on label MS-12106

And when color can be so easily mixed up or miss represented and the out come of mixing very bad it just makes you shake your head.

Cooling system gelling. Heater core clogging , radiator clogging. It gets bad
