Ok,
So im old school. I have my new 2014 Ram Express ST Quad with a 5.7.
Should i NOT go to a true DUAL exhaust? some have reported the the Two to One actually performs better?!!?
Ive never heard of this before.

On my truck I went from stock,
To flowmaster super 40
To flowmaster 10 race exhaust true duals with magna flow x pipe
Add reso delete
To Mufflex with reso delete.

The Mufflex out performs everything!!!

I have the true dual catback going into DI/DO Magnaflow. Love the sound and no loss of power here. Already put an 87mm TB and Diablosport tune on. Just waiting for S&B to release an intake for the 14's. Should all compliment each other nicely!

I here ya OP. Im old school too and headers with some pipes straight back to some mufflers used to be the way for street rods, but these newer engines are "tuned" different and its a new day out there. Theres alot of great reads here in these forums about exhaust (and some smart guys to boot). In short, read around here a bit, but I think header to straight pipes to mufflers out the back are NOT the best setup. Read more threads. Ill get header eventually, but Ive got other mods first, LOL.

If you have the means, go for a longtube header and true duals with an X pipe.
You cannot go wrong with that.

Unfortunately, i dont have the means for long tube headers at this time. If i go for a good "Y" pipe, into a One to Two open compartment muffler, delete my resonators then i'll have enough cash to get my Vararam and Catch can too.
Or Cat Back true duals but with a "H" pipe. But, that would be it for now. I do already have my Diablo with 1st HF tune.

that's cool, they''re not for all budgets.

a good Y would help, the freer flowing muffler combined with no resonators would sound nice. good luck
