I've been through many intakes, 3.5 long cai, 3.5 short ram. 4 inch legmaketmr style, 4 inch short with velocity stack and now a 14 x3 old school style. I call it Dararam to be funny. I used a 5 1/8
to 4 inch rubber pipe adaptor and coupled it to a 4 inch long pipe which connects to another 4 inch rubber boot around the throttle body with a velocity stack on the throttle body and at the top of the pipe closing the gap at the 5 inch section. I love the performance and the old school style look. If I can find a way to lower the ac hoses I can run without the 4 inch pipe.
Truck is a beast with the Hemifever 93 tune. Power
plus mpgs since so much more torque is available down low. Cruising is effortless. The shifting is much improved. I still haven't installed my 4.10's. Trying to find a shop I can trust but really tempted to install myself.

Got on Craigslist and found a set of Viper Replica 22 x 10s with tires for $950, talked down to $700. mounted balanced black plastidipped and glossed. Much more grip in the corners and I love the stance. mmmmmmm. Now I need a 2/4 drop.

2014 3.21 6 speed. Truck is still pretty fast. I could consistently beat my friends 2015 rcsb hemi 3.92 8 speed from a 20 roll before any tune, just intake exhaust and iat resistor mod. I can pull stock rt challengers on the highway.
Yes it suck in a lot of hot air. tested against my cai's the open short style ran much better and this set up will never starve for air. I haven't had heat soak issues since the first tune or either the iat resistor mod. I don't remember. it gets hot in ga and it's not a problem. Much better flow than cai. Our trucks engine bays run pretty cool.
will a 545 racing transmission automatically become a 645 with mytrucks software?

Your sig states Add fuel WOT%, what does that mean?? I'm assuming it with the tuner but is that custom tune or something you did?

I need to update my sig. Those were my diablo tuner settings on the canned diablo tunes. I just got tuned by hemifever and currently running the set up without adding or subtracting fuel or timing in any rpm range.

the Hemifever tune seems to run great, it's only been a few days. My exhaust sounds perfect, nice stong and mellow with burble and pop at idle

Your friend's truck must not be a strong runner. My 2014 QC 4WD 3.92 LSD 8 speed truck has never had any problems with the 6 speed trucks.

Looks awesome but I'm sure you would make more power with cooler air. You are sucking in alot of hot air and that's proven to not make high power numbers.

Ive been running a tuner for years and had no idea I could add fuel manully. If you have time PM me and tell me how to do that. Please....

Intake parts
Switched to a proflo 1000 to eliminate the 4 inch pipe section from inside the 5 1/8 to 4 inch rubber boot and the top velocity stack. Oh yea. I have CAI s sitting in the garage. This is my favorite so far.
First pic was with the added 4 inch section 80% inserted into the 5 1/8 to 4 in coupler.
This was done to make the 14 x 3 drop base air cleaner clear the a/c lines.
Now without 4 pipe inch section it's just the lower velocity stack and a rubber sleeve from an intake kit then the 5 1/8 to 4 inch slides right on down to the base of the Throttle body.
The opening of many carburetor air filter hats is 5 1/8. Slides in the boot like a glove. Secure and good clearance from the hood.

The sensor wires are extended by speaker wire and tapped to the body behind the grill on the right side of the truck. Been running that way for years since the Iat sensor mod. I recently removed the resistor mod but left the sensor relocated.
