Haven't done any mods to my new to me ram yet. It's a 14 1500 tradesman express with the hemi.

I found this k&n CAI used for 100$ I'll include the pic. But any opinions? These things new are 300$ or so I believe. Is it worth it? Thanks.

You say you have a '14 Ram. The ad says the intake fits the '09-'12 Ram. If this is correct then it will not work on your truck.

you have to trim a piece off the air box to make it work on the 14 , the ac lines on the 13to17 are different from 09to12
Ill post a pic

like said above, as is it will not fit on your truck. You can get get the parts from K&N to make it fit. They send a new heat shield that will fit below the ac line, and they also send a new cable for the IAT sensor(must have different connectors)

here you go , just trim the air box with a grinder or cut off wheel , no big deal if you have some tools , the air inlet temp sensor you can wait and get the harness from K&N or cut and extend the cables your self , i extended mines

IMO...These K&N filters are all smoke n mirrors...Ive had them on 5-6 other H.D. trucks ive owned, and never saw any advantage to them...Save your money...AGAIN...Just my opinion after 500,000+ miles of using them...

Okay thanks for the opinion! Have you used any other CAI? Or just use a normal drop in filter?
