Redline 75w-140 in front and rear LS needed in mine even with Auburn in the rear. I would highly suggest this choice of diff oil to anyone.

I am curious: Yes I know---->Shut the **** up SyN!

75W-140 in the front diff = Very Interesting
Do you tow very heavy loads in 4WD often & for long periods of time to justify running 75W-140 in the front?

Anyone other then :) as well as our core group I would some what question.

Other then Long Drawn out / Heavy abuse / High temp / Heavy Load most of the time: ----> I am very curious on his madness!

By No Means am I questioning his application for the 75W-140!
My :happy107: to him for thinking in another direction.

My small ears are pointed in his direction and listening very closely!

Differential oil & additives

Hello all, some good reading here...thought I'd post a quick question. I bought the additive from Chrysler for my rear diff. I Also already bought Amsoil for the rear diff, but just realized the Amsoil bottles say the additive is already in it. Can I trust this, or should I just put the additive in anyways just because I already have it?
Thank you

I've been doing some web searches and still on defined answer. Just a mixture of "use it, don't need it, according to Ram must use it"....etc.
Anyone use it already with an oil that says it has friction modifier? Does it cause problems?
Anyone else know the proper way?
And it's Lucas oil not Amsoil.

Beep: Pardon my Tardness! Trying to catch up here.

You drained the FF Rearend Oil & poured in Amsoil or Lucas Rearend oil?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
""When done take a quick test drive to the nearest large parking lot and then: :
Windows down
Music off
Do 5 -7 Left & Right slow turns @ near full lock of the steering wheel ( tight turns ) if you hear or feel chatter from the rear end go back home & add the additive as BBB aka Big Bad Burla
suggested above 1ea oz at a time .

Hope this helps !"""
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are wanting to see how much Anti-Friction additive to use?
Follow these steps/Instructions from RLK!

Listen for Chattering / Popping any type of vibration & noise!
If none is heard? You are good to go.

I personally would rather have to much additive compared to Not Enough!

This is why I use Red Line! It cost a little more--->But nothing else is ever Needed! Also it is a Huge Piece of Mind knowing I poured in one of the most robust gear oils produced.

Some say: RL is Overkill! But who are they to attempt to pass Judgment?
