Engine shut off

I have a problem with my truck shutting off when coming to a stop whether it be at a traffic light or stop sign. As I start to slow down the rpm's go real low and then the truck completely shuts off. It doesn't always happen but when it does it sucks because I have to put it in park and start it up again then I can take off. Any thoughts on what it could be? What can I do? Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Is your check engine light on? If so, get the code read at a local auto parts store.

If not, it could be a fuel pressure problem, either the regulator or the fuel pump.

It could also be a throttle position sensor issue but normally those throw a code.

I'd say more than likely the throttle position sensor
