Exhaust Questions

Ok, so I'm really playing with the idea of upgrading my exhaust but I have a few considerations so I thought I would ask those who have done it...here are a few things I'm looking for:
  • MPG Improvement (Not sure how this would work but was told it would)
  • Not too loud (quiet until I lean into, then just mean)
  • Larger pipes coming out of the back
  • ZERO Drone even when MDS kicks in (that'll drive me crazy!!!)

Ashamed to admit that I don't know a lot about it and through researching seems that a lot of people like it really loud and thats not what I'm looking for...

Any guidance on this would be much appreciated!

get the magnaflow catback. 5" tips, great sound (from what I have read and heard).

OR, get a mufflex and their tips (their tips kinda ..... suck though)

is that something I can tackle in my driveway or is it something that is welded in?

the magnaflow catback I think is a driveway mod

I know the mufflex stuff is.

i would recommend the Corsa DB system with the magnaflow full catback a close second..

had corsa's on my charger then my silverado and now got a box with corsa's in my room just waiting for the ram to arrive.. had great experiences with them in terms of quality, sound and durability. also absolutley no drone.

had magnaflows on my grand cherokee and again a solid unit and sounded great.

it comes to personal preference the corsa's are raspy and loud when you step on it at idle their is hint of an exhaust but not overly audible.. the magnaflow has a deeptone thruought the rpm range and is more "bass'y"

I have the 14" mufflex kit. I love it, and i don't think there is any drone. the 18" will be a little quieter but sound good when you get on the gas

Borla muffler...listen to the video in my mod list. Mellow and smooth until you stomp it. Also, construction is superior in T304 stainless.
