Exhaust size

Ok can I get a real quick conformation on the exhaust size, it 3 into the muffler and dual 2.5 out correct???

3 in dual 2.25 out , as I learned by buying the wrong muffler lol the shop wanted to charge me more but after talking to the right guy they did it anyways lol

Yeah, measured 3" into the muffler 2 1/4" dual outs right from the muffler, in the rear where the tips were welded in past the resonators is 2.5" but that's it, if you look and measure closely from the muffler they are 2 1/4" pipes. I was pretty surprised.

Pretty sure mine is 3" inlet and 2.5" outlet

Aftermarket catback systems ie Magnaflow come with 3 into 2.5 tubing but as far as the factory setup it is 3 into 2.25 at least here in CA and on my 2012 Express, lol my friend owns a muffler shop and when I went to get my 3 into 2.5 Flowmasters welded in on his day off his employee tried to charge me more for the extra work lol. Your shop should have no problem doing it. There's actually a thread about it on this site a guy was being gouged by his muffler shop because of the size difference.

Yea I know on my 03 I had to pay like 50 more because I bought the wrong size but I had a pocket full of money and was dumb back then, I just wanted it on lol.... I spent 50 bucks on next day shipping lol
