Has anyone came up with a mod to make it stay in fuel economy mode? I have a 2014 1500 4x4 with the 5.7. It just never is in the Eco mode for more than 10 seconds. It's like right on the line and goes in and out. I'd just like to put a switch to trick the computer for highway driving. Is it possible? Any help would be appreciated

You can keep your foot off the gas so it stays on eco or trade it in for a 4 clynder truck since that's apparently what you want. I don't believe there is a mod to keep it in eco and I highly doubt anyone will make one.

I would love a mod like this but it will never happen. I think you will run into situations where it will be pouring fuel into those 4 cylinders trying to get more power and saving you no fuel. Your best bet is to keep putting miles on it. Mine would never hold mds until around 10500 miles. It seems like after that it must have finished breaking in because now it will hold mds at 65 mph at around 21 to 23 mpg's.

Yeah I'm only at 4500 now and kris319 it's pretty annoying when you have the muffler delete it gets pretty annoying listening to it kick in and out even when it's on cruise control

Ah I thought you were one of those I want prius gas mileage on my pick up guys lol. The only solution would be to get a tuner that turns it off permanently.

This happens to a lot of people, based on their driving cycle / style. Some report same or better MPG with MDS disabled.

happen to be one of those people, have had MDS disabled for over a year and running the canned DS 87 performance tune :naughty:

it goes from 14.7L/100 km to 15.5L/100 km depending on hwy or city. i believe that is 15.9 mpg to 15.1 mpg.
