Good evening here in PA. Question I had a bad gas cap which threw the check engine light and the gas cap light is on. I replaced gas cap and lights are still on. Do I need a garage to clear the codes/lights or is there a way I can do it myself? Or will they eventually go out themselves. Thanks in advance.

If it was the gas cap it will eventually go out.
