No, nothing needs to be done with comp or speedo. Let them break in for 500 miles, do not go on long drives during that break in period. I did the same swap, good luck! :)

This thread has some good info, too. http://www.ramforum.com/f44/finally_getting_4_10s_lsd_installed-46673/

^what David said. The speedo sensors are at the wheels, not the tranny, so it's all good.

I'd like to hear your impressions of the 4.10s. I think you'll really like them.

Damn. I am about 10% considering doing a gear swap. My truck has the 3.21 or whatever the lowest is. I don't tow and hardly think about it till I come on here and read about 4.10s and the smoke you can make with them.

Got the tool...was the long one that goes all the way into the axle tubes to adjust the side play .then proceeded to ruined the big fat shim that goes between the rear pinion bearing race and the main housing...so we wait till wed/thurs...truck is still up on lift all apart..:(:(:(

Even as stock trucks these things would be a total ball with 4.56.gears..just sayin'..:)..plenty of OD for nice highway manners still...im at 2300 at 80 mph with the 4.10...26-2700 wouldnt be a problem....mds/eco stays on alot more a d alot longer now too...not struggling/lugging on hwy near as much....
