I've been searching for an exhaust that adds a little sound to the exhaust but doesn't have drone. I previously had the Carven Progressive on the truck. I really did like the sound when on the throttle but the drone for me was really bad. I have seen several different posts how they don't have drone with the Carven but at the same time have seen several with drone as well. Interesting how it changes truck to truck. I was really impressed with the easy install of the Carven and the quality of the product. After a month or so I put the stock exhaust back on.
After doing some research online I found heartthrob exhaust. I talked to the owner and he provided me info on the muffler replacement kit he makes. I ended up ordering through Auto accessories garage as it was a little cheaper and no tax. The install was a little tougher and needed two people but still not bad; took about an hour. The sound of this muffler is great with a nice deep sound. It is not too loud but defiantly louder than stock when on the throttle. Best part is there is ZERO drone at hwy speeds. For a $161 DIY muffler replacement I am very happy.
I will try and get audio up when its not so windy out.
