Came out today after some gunnery classes and she was dead. ok figured i might have left inside lights on. gave her a jump she started right up. let her run while i was at lunch. come back out after another 4 hours of fire support and shes dead again! Nothing with a jump either! needless to say i am livid cause i have no time for this right now being in FA BOLC at fort sill. hopefully its just a dead cell in the battery. i cant imagine it being too much since it has maybe 3500 on the clock.

Sounds like a bad battery. It didn't hold the charge.

Yeah, I had the same problem, but didn't get the point of not being able to be jumped, just pop a new battery in there and you should be fine.

talk to the dealer today, not sure of the name cause im not in lawton ok much. but he basically said that he put the battery test on it and it passed. He also said that it started after he charged the battery for an hour. He said that they would check the other stuff alternator, draw, etc but cant get to it till friday AND that they DONT offer loaner cars. This guy right here is steaming!

I had mine in the shop at 6K..........no loaner. Good thing I could borrow my dad's!

that sucks. I had mine at the dealer for a few days for paint work and no loaner either. Sucks

I had two batteries replaced under warranty on my 09 already. It seems that if the battery gets completely drained on these trucks then its ruined. This last battery has lasted the longest though so maybe they fixed them.

Hell no!! if its still under warranty let them continue to replace them. I realize it maybe a pita.

Hope they get that fixed for you. Sounds like a dead cell to me, doing a voltage test won't necessarily determine that if that's all they did.

They battery passed the test, maybe it could be a bad alternator. Really sucks that its just going to sit till Friday though

Oh man the Sh!It just keeps on piling up. They called me today saying that it was ready, i asked what they found wrong and they said nothing, that maybe i left something on. Whatever! So I find a ride to take me up there and they gave me my keys and guess what? No start lol. It unlocked with the fob, opened the door evic was on and interior lights were on but when i hit it everything went dead and stayed dead. I go back in there and gave the guy my keys back and hes just dumbfounded that it wouldnt start so naturally he goes back out there. Comes back and says Mr. Cooper youre right its completely dead. Now im in uniform and being an officer i kept my reserve although i almost slipped. So now im still without a truck and had to buy my ride dinner. I think it might be started related cause they said it started with the jump pack on and the charging system was ok. I think that the starter has an internal problem when i cue it to start it sucks all the power out and leaves everything dead.

In my experience dealers are terrible at diagnosing problems, and also overpriced. I took mine in over the weekend for a squeak coming from the front end and they wanted to charge me $60 in labor to have them drive it, then I took it to my mechanic,and in 5 minutes he quoted me for a new wheel bearing. Don't know why they're terrible, they just are...

Dang that sucks! And not all dealers are horrible, I know a really good one and they're the only ones that will ever touch my truck while I own it even if I'm 2,000 miles away

A battery passing a load test doesn't always mean it's a good battery... There are false positives.

Still, as long as you can muster it, let them figure out the problem.
