Hello,

I would like some advice on the 15-16 6.4 Hemi.

I really like the trucks, I am SERIOUSLY considering s^%t canning my diesel and going to a gas 6.4 2500. I like my diesel and I really like the HP/TQ but....

What can I do to make it fast?

What/who offers tunes for it?

What after market bolt-ons do they offer that will give me more HP/TQ?

Thank you

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do to the 2015+ 6.4 trucks yet. Only mods are our ported throttle body, muffler swap/catback exhaust, and American Racing Longtube Headers. K&N released an intake last month, but it is not in stock yet. They said they would start shipping those to dealers around mid November. There is also no tuning available yet for the 2015+ 6.4's.

If you have a diesel then you will save yourself a lot of money just making that one go fast compared to buying a new 6.4L and trying to do it with a gas job. I really like my gas truck but I have spent a hell of a lot more money getting my gas truck to go fast compared to what I've spent on my diesel truck to make it fast.

What is your truck now and why are you thinking of switching?

I have an 07 F350 with a 6.0

I bullet proofed it and Im running a tune with stock exhaust. It runs 13's in a 1/4 mile right now.

I would like to sell it but I am pretty sure I could leave it sitting in a busy intersection; running with the doors open and no one would take it because it is a 6.0.

I have been trying to sell it and I get stupid LOW BALL offers. "Sorry but I am NOT going to sell a 14K dollar truck for 9-10K."

New engine last fall, head studs, SCT X4 tuner (canned tunes), and EGR delete

Ummm....yeah...

If you are used to that performance and expecting similar from a 6.4 ram you will be disappointed. No forced induction power adders. No cai. 2014 have been tuned. 5.7 headers work on 6.4.

Apparently on the 2015 and up you either have to purchase an unlocked ecm or send yours in to be unlocked to run a tune. Not sure if this applies to the cummins, but I think it applies to all Rams.

if you already upgraded it I would just keep it, if u want a fast 3/4 ton wait till ford ecoboost the 5.0 v8 and shove it in a f250- bottom line is a gasser with out forced induction will never perform like a diesel. closest thing stock is a f150 with ecoboost motor.

Even with it being the problem prone 6.0L you will still be happier performance wise with that diesel than swapping to the 6.4L if you're looking at it from a performance perspective. Now, if you were looking for a more reliable and newer towing rig then yes, the 6.4L would be a good option if you didn't need the towing rating of the diesel.

As the owner of one of the most powerful 5.7Ls on here and a chipped and deleted F350 6.7L owner I'd like to think I can be fairly objective about this particular matter. My F350 has the pulling power and digs hard off the line but my 1500 would win a race between the 2; the biggest difference is that I have $10K into my diesel and $45K into my 1500.

The new 6.7L have a lot of potential for big power and fast, just expensive to mod fords, I know a few guys that have twin turbo'd them and making 650-850hp with them. They are more built for speed than work..

What is your end goal and desire for a 3/4ton? Do you just want a newer ride?

Thank you for all of your input on this subject.

I will hang on to my 6.0 pig for a while longer.
