I had the stock muffler replaced with a Borla.
It sounds louder than stock, and has a good tone.
What else can i do to give it a bit more sound.

I saw right before the tips it has some "bubbles" , perhaps having a shop do a straight pipe, but how much difference will that make?

Or will doing a aftermarket y-pipe work better?

Toss a cut out on it before the muffler. Have it open when you want to be loud and closed when you want the Borla tone.

^^^^ Great Idea. The bubble things should be resonators. They tone down your sound a bit.

Cutout is what I'd suggest first. See if that gets you the sound you want, it will definitely be louder.

Removing the resonator and adding an aftermarket Y-pipe should add a little more sound too.

Resonator ! that's the word, i thought that's what they were.

Any suggestions for a cut-out, how do you like yours Kevin?

if you don't have an aftermarket cai, that will help make it louder....not a crazy difference, but it will be a noticeable change

hmm might just get resonators removed, since it's a cheaper route.

Just removing the resonators by themselves you won't notice much, but would be a good place to start.

You could gut your cat's and remove your resonators.

It would void your warranty though.

doing the resonators or the gutting?

I would prefer to play it safe, since my truck does have lifetime warranty and extended warranty.
