Got the new jba Longtubes installed with there y pipe. Headers are coated silver. Fitment was good. Pulled the fender liners out for accessibility. Overall very pleased.31df95449cee1f97b4f0f67d45818aba.jpg7fd2d39ee6a6c96dc82ff782d7195f6e.jpg

Hows the clearance between the steering knuckle and the headers, any issues with it binding on a sharp right hand corner while accelerating, like a few of us with their 1 7/8" have ran into.I'm tempted to swap my 1 7/8" JBA's for the 1 3/4" just because of the clearance issues between the steering knuckle and lack of clearance against the drivers side frame rail where the brake lines run

Clearance by the brake line is still right. Been 2 days looked and the header doesn't look like steering knuckle has touched it.

Looks great!!! Thanks for the pictures. They answer a lot of questions about fitment.

Headers look great. Ive not seen a single person have trouble with the headers hitting the steering arm on the new JBA 1 3/4" Headers, so I dont think that will be a problem for anyone anymore.

Jba 1 7/8"

I just put the 1 7/8" JBA's on my 2010 Ram and had the problem with the steering knuckle hitting on the Header. I just put a small dent in the tube and it has made a world of difference. On the break lines we kind of just squeezed them a little closer to the frame. So far everything is working and Im loving the power its added to my truck.

JBA 1 7/8" torque

What are the torque specifications on the header bolts?

Im thinking they said they were 17ft lbs. Something along those lines. But Ill be honest I wasn't able to fit a torque wrench in there. So I got them as tight as I could and then probably 4 days later I went back and tightened them down again. I am about to go on a long trip so Im going to check them tomorrow when I do an oil change. But so far they are doing great.

Yeah, that sounds more like it. I knew it was close. Just double check the flange bolts, those are the only ones giving me any problems.

Everything fits good this is what I'm looking for, but I plan on going full bolt ons with nitrous but I really don't wanna deal with some of the issues fitting wise that come with the 1 7/8. How big of a difference is it really gonna make?

I have the 1 7/8" and where I notice the power is more towards the mid range. But the problem was I added full exhaust and a tune all at once. So I couldn't tell you what the headers are alone. But it's worth it.

Anyone running these headers with a stock muffler? Debating on if I want to go that route instead of jumping right into another muffler.

It probably wouldn't sound bad with a stock muffler. But I wouldn't recommend keeping it that way. I would recommend getting something large enough for the application tho. I had a small flowmaster on mine and after the header install it sounded like a farm truck. I added a 16" (long) magnaflow on it and man it sounds great. No cackle at all. Great at low and high rpm's.
