I just realized this thread would be better if I had a sound clip or video to accompany it but I don't. My bad. Truck is brand new, less than 1000 miles. I've noticed when I first start it there is a noticeable whine. Not high pitched, moderate tone. Seems to go away once it's warmed up. Does it when sitting or moving. Any ideas?

What year?? Pretty well documented here on the forums its the tranny line and how they are mounted to the fan that resonates noise. We have a fix here but if you just bought it, the dealer will replace the lines with insulated ones. We just remove the bolt, put insulation behind the lines where they snap into the frame and then secure them above so they dont fail.

Feel free to PM me if you cant go to the dealer.

It's a 2017. I'll mention it at first service. Thanks!

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us as well in a private message if we can provide any support/follow up to have this addressed with your dealership.

I used to have an annoying whine in my truck (named it Deb, divorce was the only cure).

Sounds like you have a belt slipping a little until it gets warm, steal a crayon from your kids (a color they won't miss or you'll create another whine) or a candle from your wife (one she won't miss or you know what) sometimes it's easier to just go buy some ****. Anyways apply a little wax to both side of the belt and see if it doesn't take care of it....I guess if applied properly and with enough force it may take care or some of the other annoying whines:roflsquared:

I don't think it's a belt. I've dealt with that on my 86 C10 and others in the past. Whine may not be the right term but didn't know how else to describe it. Definitely a deeper tone than a slipping belt from what I've heard in the past.
