Gonna try to tackle my manifold studs in the next few days. I have some questions.

1.) Manifolds are listed as left or right. What is what? Is the passenger side right like I'm sitting in the truck or left like I'm standing in front of it?

2.) I'm seeing a few methods for getting the broken studs out:
- Weld a nut on
- left handed drill bit
- ez out

Which do you prefer? I've heard some horror stories about breaking ez outs.

3.) Any issues with Domain parts from O'Reilly's? I'll be replacing the manifold as well.

4.)I've been reading as much as I can, but any tips would be appreciated.

heat will be your friend. I had three broken ones. heated the ones I could get vice grips on until cherry red and they came right out. drilled out the third and hit with an EZ out. nice and slow. not applying too much pressure. the heat from drilling helped alot.

^ Correct answer and reference is always made as though you are sitting in the drivers seat. My mechanic told me that and has always helped me remember OP.

I just paid a ton of money to have headers put in I had 2 broken on each side and they were a ***** even for a pro. I hope you fair better than I did.

I'm really debating doing it myself. I guess worse case I can't get em out and have to have it towed to a shop.

I've got $1000 max to get this fixed after spending $1000 on new tires the week before after I caught a screw through the sidewall of my old set. When I start dropping large chunks of cash I go full pessimist.

If you just do replacement bolts and possibly factory manifolds probably can do for $600 at dealer. I was sick of having to do it so I decided to try headers. We will see how they last.
