Me vs......the Mufflex

So, this morning I go outside to do my next mod. Time to take the Mufflex delete pipe off, replace it with a Raceland cutout. I go outside, spray down the hangers with WD-40, start to take off the tailpipes. I get the pass side off easily, but I remember the drivers side is a bit of a ..... well, its a pain to get off.

I decide to leave the drivers side on a smidge, so its easier to line stuff up when I'm done. Last time I had help (which made it nice), but today - just me. So, I go to remove the Mufflex, and WHAM! whoops........damn thing fell on my face. I reach up with my forearm to check for blood.......yup.......damnit. So I start to walk into the house to clean it up - wife starts freakin' out. I didn't realize that blood was flowing down my nose and dripping on the floor. d'oh!

I got cleaned up - not as bad as I thought.........here's a pic (after a couple hours and a shower later)



I get the cutout installed.......and I go to run the wiring - burned my damn arm on the exhaust pipes. UGH, I knew I shouldn't have played with the cutout too much before I ran the wires.

anyway, its done - and I took it for my test drive. I pulled up next to a car at a stop light, some little Mitsuwhatever convertible. Young girl in it, stupidass chick music blaring out of the speakers. She looks over, singing, I smile.......toss it in neutral, hit the cutout and let the Hemi sing.

Surprised the **** out of her!

Pretty slick! Took it out on the highway, she's a BEAST when opened up! And man.......I forgot how quiet this thing is with the stock muffler on it.

Oh, and I sold the Mufflex last night too. Didn't even list the damn thing, got a PM from someone on DT - BAM, sold.

We went to a school "picnic" tonight, and he went to my wife's boss (the principal) and she asked him what we were going to do after the picnic. "We're going to go scare some ricers!" I about lost it. LOL - she said "who?" - I had to explain. He said "I like the "A" button, it makes daddy's truck go vroom vroom!!"

kids say the coolest things . My 6 year old daughter is the same way . She told some kid at school " my daddy cuts up animals in the garage " lol had to explaine to the teacher after she called that I process my own animals i harvest . She thought i cut up dogs , cats ect according to the kid that told her .

Very nice man, I think Im going to go back to a cutout here after the cam gets in well a dual setup this time if I can, LT headers plus a 268 with open cutouts should sound very very mean....
