I'll be glad to buy black ones in the next batch of 10 I'd bet these would sell just as quick. You can put me down on the list for black even if it cost more///:roflsquared:

They look good, I cant wait to get home and see mine, although I am not going to put them on until I can get the rest of my mods. I want to install everything at one time...

Any concerns that the tips may shift around without having the clamps anchored on with a spot weld? With the tips being much heavier I would be concerned about them moving and having to adjust them constantly with bumps in the road and such.....I know the clamps can get pretty tight but they are rounded....

I was thinking the exact same thing, so I am going to put the spot weld (that I removed with a grinder) back in the same location...

All Tips are sold. I'm hoping we can find another source for these tips or at least some others that look very similar. I will keep everyone that missed out on this deal posted as I get more info. Thanks guys.

I don't see it being an issue as Mufflex has been selling bolt on 5" tips for years now. They install exactly like these by reusing the factory clamp. I have yet to have a customer mention their Mufflex 5" tips sagging or coming lose after install. If we are able to produce these tips in bulk, I will be including new clamps to go with them. It would at least save the hassle of having to grind off the tack weld on the factory clamp.

Would they work on am aftermarket exhaust? My MBRP cat back has tips that slide over the pipe and clamp on. As well would these work with a 3" body lift? I'm wondering if they would get past the bumper bracket that hangs down? I'll try and get a pic of what I'm talking about with some measurements!

These are flared on the end to bolt onto the factory piping, so they will not work on an aftermarket catback without modification. And unfortunately, I don't know of any 5" tip that clears the bumper bracket with a 3" body lift. Even the stock tip is extremely close to that bracket.

My tips got delivered today. I'm REALLY impressed with them.....most of the pics on here do no justice....they're much nicer. I haven't installed them yet (will this w/e), but wondering if they needd holes drilled in the bottom to drain water/condensation like the factory tips have? Any thoughts? Thanks!

The stock tips are single walled, so without a drainage hole, water collects in the tip and is not able to drain around the rolled edge. With these being double walled with a smooth edge, what little water does make it into the tip will drain out easily. I have been running double walled MBRP tips that are very similar to these on my previous diesels, and have never had an issue with water.

Guys, I have 2 more sets of these tips that we finished up today. We are still trying to find a more reliable source to keep producing them in bulk. I'm not even going to put these on the website since we only have 2 sets, so post here or PM me if you would like to grab 1 of these. Thanks.
