I installed a magnaflow a couple weeks ago and love it. It sounds great no "drone". I had a question though. When i am cruzing and it goes out of eco mode there is a slight grunt sound as it does. I was told by a buddy that it is tge resonators. Anyone know? If I take those off what will happen? Looking to get the 5" tips too. I just dont want there to be any issues. Thanks

Sounds like the MDS firing up the 4 dead cylinders.

With or without resonators, the grunt will still be present. The resos are for tuning out a frequency with the OEM exhaust. Without the OEM muffler, the reso won't do much for tone/sound differences

Adding the 5" tips will make the sound lower with more of a rumble sound.
