Greetings all, As my SIG says I have a 2011 1500 w/ the Hemi. Right now all I have on it is a Mufflex 18 exhaust and I'm running the SuperChips F5 Flashpaq with the 87tune. I was wanting to purchase the Vararam intake and 87mm throttle body from Moes. Now after doing a little research I'm considering switching to the Diablo I2 with the hemifever tune. If I do that though I wouldn't be able to purchase Both the intake and throttle body. If i went with the diablo which of the two would be best to purchase to get the best performance combo? Or would it be better to keep my current tuner and purchase the two together? Its my daily driver so I'm not looking to race just more drivability.

I'd say the programmer with custom tune will give you the most noticeable gain. I don't know about your current tune, but with my diablo trinity the difference between 87 and 91 canned tune was night and day. I'm willing to bet a hemifever custom will be even better. For the additional option, I'd say intake 1st, throttle body 2nd. Or just ask Matt at Moes, he seems pretty knowledgeable.

Thanks, I'm leaning towards that. The super chips isn't bad i did notice a difference from stock. It seems like everything I read says the Hemifever tune is the bees knees of tunes for these trucks.

My HF 89 tune was a huge improvement over canned 89. A custom tune will get you even better bang for your buck plus being able to get updated tunes to go with future mods. Most people with custom tunes are running HF or Jay Greene. An intake will get you a bit more power & throttle response. An oversized TB will get even more throttle response (based on what others say, I've never run one yet). I say get it all, whether now or over time.

Do the tuner with the custom tune and the intake.

The TB can wait and I doubt you'll really feel like you need it after you get the CAI and the tune on it. The stock TB can flow more air than your engine can actually handle.

Thanks for all the responses, the Super Chips isn't bad but I do like the idea of custom tuning. All they offer is canned tuning, and the Vararam looks awesome too. With a different tuner all I have to do is load my stock tune back on it and then hook up the new tuner right, or do I need to reload my stock tune then get it reflashed?

Went with the Diablo I2 with Hemi Fever tune and Vararam intake from Moes. It should be here by Friday. Plan on installing it all this weekend along with the Bilstein 5100 shocks that have been in my garage for a month.

That Vararam is nice looking no doubt. I've seen the pics from guys who get moderate snow, so living in iowa it worries me a bit

I've seen that too, I live in the D.C. area so we get snow occasionally but luckily it's been a crazy warm winter.
