So what is a good nitrous kit? What is a safe shot? I wouldn't want to blow the motor. I'm just looking for a little more boost for my truck.

I prefer Nitrous Outlet myself. The plate kit is going to have the cleanest install and be the most direct shot of nitrous, but you can get away with the cheaper X series nozzle kit as well.

There are numerous Hemi trucks spraying a 125-150 shot without any problems. The key to using it safely is making sure you have proper bottle pressure, the correct spark plugs, good fuel (clean 93 octane at minimum), and proper air/fuel ratio.

They are all good kits, what sets them apart is ease of installation, adaptability, and upgradability. Zex is dead simple to install but Nitrous Outlet has the advantage of being the most adaptable. If you want to just run up to a 100 shot you can get by with any of the kits.

A safe shot with no other engine or tune changes is a 75 shot. 100+ requires plugs and a modified tune.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look into those kits mentioned.
