Honestly i wish i knew more. besides doing a DEF delete and hearing about issues with the DEF system it makes it hard to imagine going Diesel.

Well, if you tow heavy it is the only way to do, or you can always buy a 2001 and fix it up. Read this. Obama was able to take a second shot, now the rules even go further. You have to ask yourself why? Because liberals don't drive 2500's. And the new politics is literally attack everything the other side is doing. Banks got fined 500k for having a DEF delete, or something like that. If the 2017 standards stay, no more choosing gear ratios. I mean the 2010 were so good at limiting emissions, this constant pushing the bar is nothing short of a war on trucks.

I see what your saying its just when i heard what i thought i heard i believed there was hope. but as you mentioned the people who control what our trucks do probably drive little hybrid smart cars in metropolitan areas wearing suits probably couldnt tell you the difference between any full size truck. but thats just my rant

What did you think cash for clunkers was all about? The gov't knows they can't do anything to those people who owns those old trucks. Those trucks can be built and enjoyed and wont cost you 50g's. A smart guy would go get one of those. I'm telling you my 2002 Cummins drove and sounded better then a 2014 All you need is a good frame and a vehicle that has good bones. Build it your way.

Def is causing more problems than it is fixing. Company I work for was putting in new 8000 gal DEF storage to be pumped from the same pumps as the diesel. Feds told us it would probably go away in the next couple of years.

Mr Trump is all about getting the epa out of the way of manufacturing, and infrastructure. But hasn't to my knowledge, said anything about vehicle emissions.

The future looks a whole lot brighter with Mr Trump than the liberals, that America kicked out. I've driven diesels at work for the last 15 years. There's no mysterious diesel allure to me. Whatever advantages there to diesels, there are enough disadvantages to cansel them out.

Personally, l like the clean diesels. I've been up in private aircraft, and have seen first hand the layer of grey/brown pollution in the atmosphere.
That "coal" that some of you like to blow, doesnt disappear.

Its ok Trump has already started the process of reversing all environmental standards. Going as far to remove the term global warming from all gov sites.

You'll be able to puff black smoke soon enough ;)

Will you stop being part of the problem and start being part of the solution? Sell you truck, ride a bike, I approve.

Don't knock the Tesla. That thing is wicked fast and very comfortable.
I dig the fact that everything was designed and built in USA [emoji631]

You are correct but just like the liberal agenda not only did they get the older vehicles off the road they also had a major impact on lower income people who could not afford the newer autos.

My father works for the town I live in and 10 years ago all they bought were diesel trucks. They replaced 3 of the trucks in 2012 and have had nothing but nightmare problems with the DEF systems and DPFs. HUGE HUGE money to repair that ****. A couple weeks ago the town decided to go back to gas trucks when they replaced 2 trucks simply because of the diesel emissions systems.
