Well at sema I talked to EVERY tuner company out there. They all said the same thing. "we dont know if there will be a tuner for the 2011+ dodges unless dodge changes somthing." They all said that mopar has the computers locked down tighter than a chastity belt. They said they are still working but have had no luck at all. They told us to go complain at the dodge booth! I DID!!! I want a tuner so bad for my new truck but this is killing me. So who know when we can see one that is mass prod. However I did find something interesting talking to them. The reason you cant really get in and tune the transmissions like yo can on most cars with tuners is because the trannys are made by Mercedes. They dont allow for custom tune in our computers. Its a mess!

That's a ******** reason they fed ya. The Chargers had a Mercedes trans too, I was able to tune it with a Diablo Predator. Someone will crack it, my fingers are crossed.

The programs in the PCM are written different for the various cars. While the basic motor is the same, there are differences that make each vehicle's performance package work for that model. The Ram intake for instance is different than the intake on the LX/LC (Charger/300/Challenger) to help make the torque the truck needs.

They limit the speed on the truck lower than the car because it doesn't come equipped with tires rated for those speeds and the higher center of gravity makes it more "dangerous" for the truck to run that fast. It's just lawyers covering the company.

The gearing in the trans and diff make the trans controller a whole other issue in itself compared to the cars.

If enough people showed interest to Mopar they might possibly come out with there own high performance computer, the have done this in the past. The cost would probably be higher than a tuner, but what other options are there?

Mopar Performance USED to have computers. I had one!

I guess if I really want boost I'd have to go stand alone.

sgt in my company is a car nut. Owns a 5.0 stang @ 700rwhp..

he states SRT is making a new car(s) that Chrysler doesnt want to be outdone by 3rd party companys and doesnt want the sales to be killed.... so they have locked the PCMs up... Im guessing till that car/truck is released? I dont know how much credability this statement has nor where he gets hes facts but i did find this link on google. Just makes me think he might be getting at something.

Chrysler sets prices on 4 new SRT models

Why the hell don't they make an SRT 8 Ram ... They could still make an SRT 10 Ram again but really SRT 8 Ram would make a lot of sense and a lot of sales.
