I'm looking for an exhaust tip, 3" inlet to 5" outlet, single only. Not to exceed 14" in length and no bolt on, but don't mind cutting the bolt on section off, I want to weld this on. Going to go matte black and can paint whatever. Kind of hard to find. I keep running into this brand which has a 6" outlet that I would probably be ok with. Searched the forum and could not find mention of this brand. Wondering if anyone has any insight or pics on this or another recommendation. I'm not looking for any performance gain, this is pure vanity. Also, not looking to spend 150 bucks for some metal tube with a name stamped all over it.

I got these for summit. 3" in, 5" out. 6" would be way to big on a hemi. The 5" is already pushing it.

What would you say the negative consequences of going over 5" is. The only one I can find so far for a fair price of 50 bucks has 6".

I just think it is pushing it is size. Stock tip is 4" and the 5" looks big compared to that. 6" might just look funny

Thanks J, that just might work. So 10" is from end to end. Which means about 7"s or so of that is 5" round? Since this is a single exhaust side hanger that is completely visible, I would like a good majority of the pipe coming off the resonator to be 5".

The tip on the single exhaust outlet can only be so long. Unless you are routing it out a different way. If not, make sure you measure with enough pipe to still clamp it to going in the direction you want.
I put a 3.5" polished stainless tip from magnaflow on my single exhaust.

Yeah, did the measurements and 14" seemed to be the limit to keep the angle. 10-12" would actually be better and wouldn't be cutting it so close.

If you have a single just get rid of the tip altogether for a cleaner look.

I have considered dumping it over the axle. Problem is, I had the exhaust welded in and did not think to have the guy let me listen to it without the resonator on before he finished. The sound is fine now and if a little louder, I won't mind. I have just about everything installed on my truck that can make noise, so no big deal. Just don't want it to be crazy loud, neighbors recently had a newborn...:baby:

My exhaust is all stock including the resonator. I just cut off the pipe right before it starts to turn to the side so it dumps down and back.

I would need to get rid of the resonator and dump the pipe. I have a 6" lift and everything underneath is visible. Would look funny just shortening the pipe off the resonator. Truck has a beasty image.

Had the 17" on my truck, fit perfect. Powdercoating only lasted about 6-8 months though, once it started flaking in one spot then that was it. Bigger flakes would come off after that.
