I seen a Moroso one on Amazon today that had a valve and spout to drain from, kinda cool. Also I seen a Diablo Sport one that looked identical to the Billet Tech one. I'd rather keep my business to Matt as he has withstood my onslaught of noob questioning :) I was pretty impressed with the Billet Tech quality. Hoses were 100% right length, everything fit as advertised. At first I was hesitant to spend 140 and not just get a cheap one but I am glad I did.

So Bullet tech is the way to go? I only want to buy this once. No hoses? Braided hoses? I don't mind the price as prevention is cheaper than repair ANYDAY!

Billet Tech is the most popular here , and you could keep it in the family by purchasing from a preferred Vender here Moe's Performance.
You could purchase hoses separately but may as well get the kit from Matt .

Looks like some other stuff is getting put on hold, this seems WAY more important that other mods at this time. Just over 200 miles on her, and want to keep it trucking as long as possible.

Geez, yea. it certainly does seem like an essential mod for anyone who actually likes to take good care of their vehicle... me being one of those people. Youd think Ram would address this from the factory though with some type of solution.. I don't think I will be buying one for this truck though, like I said I am looking to get something newer, possibly different altogether. i like the ram though, thing has great nut for my daily highway commute, with my tuner and CAI on there -- she goes! Tried a new Sierra 1500 a few weeks back and wasnt impressed.. may look at the new 16 taco SR's truthfully. (not trying to change the subject here) lol

I wonder instead of having to drill a hole in your valve covers if you could bolt some 6.1 covers on the 3rd gen 5.7? Ran across some sites that listed the covers to fit BOTH 5.7 & 6.1 so I would just assume that they would with the 3rd gens.

I put the Billet Catch Can on that I ordered from Moe's. Put it on at 20 miles on the vehicle and literally took me 15 minutes and I was taking my time. Both the hoses were cut to the exact length, so it is simply replacing one straight tube with an in line filter.

They would bolt on but it wouldn't do you any good since the 6.1L PCV line is in the intake manifold and has nothing to do with the valve covers.

Hmm , crickets. ......

Not familiar with the 4.7 , but
I'll say this , if your PCV is routed into the air intake or throttle body in any shape form or fashion you would Benifit by rigging up an occ .

Smog = it can only help with emissions because you would not be burning vented oil mist , condensation and unburnt fuel ... thus allowing you to more efficiently burn the fuel only like a combustion engine should be .

Which is the best , that could create a lot of discussion. .... imo Elite Engineering has a better head design , but Billet Tech seems to be very popular here .

Good luck Sir !

Thanks haha! I like that... Crickets... I would love to see how much **** my truck collects!!! couldnt i just unplug the routed tube from the intake and let it go into the world? LOL like my friends mercy cougar.
California Law makers are pretty stupid!

Pretty sure venting the crankcase to the atmosphere ( in the state of California ) causes cancer. Among many other things ...

I once walked into a day care with that sign... Also Disney land has that sign! Hahahaha were little kids go! Kinda ironic!

Farting in California is known to cause cancer!!! Surprised my ass doesn't have a DPF!

On the other hand, would a universal catch can work? Are they easy to route? I inquired at my old work, auto shop, they said it's mostly for racing

I had one on the 2010 that I got from Moe's. Usually had to change it out after about two tow's. I hope the guy who bought my truck knows it's on there. Opps...
He would have found out as soon as it got full and started burping into his intake.

LOL , if it's mounted down LOW like mine it will not allow the PCV to vent the crankcase .

After a 2700 mile drive. Drove straight from MA to FL, stayed in FL for a funeral then drove straight back. Cleaned out my catch can before the drive and this was when I got back...
