When I installed mine the kit didn't come with instructions , so I chose I spot very low so I'd have gravity on my side for the PCV exit and gravity working against the vent continuing to the throttle body inlet . I also went with a different OCC ( Elite Engineering ) that supposedly had a superior head design to help prevent oil from exiting the can .

Here's where I mounted mine .e75bc96f0fb43938f13c0c6eea2a3bf5.jpg

Looks great, when I received mine if I remember correctly it said it should be mounted at a certain height.
I could be 100% wrong.

I've always wondered how much fine mist still makes it to the intake plenum even with an OCC installed .
Can you post a picture of your particular setup ?

not an easy task from my engine compartment. Hoses running everywhere. But it's straight forward. Same layout from the BT can but the out line from the BT connects to the V2 Can inlet side. Top fitting of the V2 connects to the intake manifold port. The V2 Comes with another bracket for the trucks that allow you to mount the can on the passenger side top radiator support. I think the pics, although can be a little confusing, give a good idea of the layout if you can follow the hoses. There's always some oil/water in the V2 catch basin, and the Green filter is always saturated in oil. So from the BT can the air flows to the bottom inlet of the V2 gets sucked through the stainless steal medium, flows to the V2 basin, then pulled up to the top through a large center hole which the green filter mounts on. no air can pass to the intake without going through the green filter last.

In all fairness, I have 3 cans. I never remove the BT Can, just empty whats in it. On every oil change, I remove the V2 can and install the standby ready to go. Saves me time. You could just get another green filter to swap saving the time to clean and dry the old filter. Also, I never, from day one, used the twist lock system. hence the rtv. I just clean the 2nd can at my leisure and have it ready for the next swap out. On my next oil change, I'll post some pics of what's in it and the filter layout. Believe me, lot's of fine misty stuff makes it past the first can. the first can just get's the heavy stuff. It could be that the V2 can would do the same without the need for the first can, but running 2 cans is quite common. The CCV Bible (http://www.shophemi.com/images/media/p-2273-arrington_ccv_bible.pdf) will explain in detail as well as the double catch can system using the crankcase outlet. Myself I just run a breather on the crankcase and double up on the pcv.

****NOTE: Mounted high!!!!**** Unlike the BT can that is lower than the PCV!

We have selling a ton of the UPR catch cans and feedback has been great. Many customers saying how happy they are they installed one after they see it work

Why does the hemi do this?
Not just the hemi , any engine the has the PCV plumed into the throttle body will have these issues .
The Hemi just seems to vent more than some other engines .
I've gotten 8oz. in my OCC on a 1500 me le road trip mostly interstate driving .

Google. Oil catch can

There's great info on how the PCV works and how detrimental it can be when plumbed back into the air intake plenum .

Hope this helps [emoji1360]

Why does the hemi do this?

As R.L.K. said its not just the Hemi its any vehicle with a PCV which is most engines. The Hemi does seem to produce more than most N/A engines. If you think this is a lot check out the amount that is caught by a F/I engine.

So did my first CC dump today. Just under 300 miles since can was installed, about 2900 miles on the truck. I have a 2018 with the Pentastar engine. I idle enough to drop rpms to normal, and drive 15 miles to work. It has been hovering around 0°f this last week. I was pretty surprised to see it about half full.

About 2.5 ounces after 3,000 miles. Love the Moroso catch can, place bottle on tube and turn valve.

UPR Drain Line...you can see where I dump it into my oil drain pan with the simple flip of a lever on the bottom of the UPR Catch Can.

My catch can dump photo will consist of a video of draining it into my oil drain pan...will post in a couple months. :)

Well, I guess I need one now. Commute and weather sounds like mine.

I'm in your fancy CC club now!

Finally got a Billett Tech catch can and installed it at 20k miles.
Checked it around 510 miles when we stopped in Biloxi, MS (Harrah's) and had maybe 1/2 oz in it. Probably another 1k miles to go on this trip.

Looks just like my install...word to the wise, be careful spraying engine degreaser on that thing; it'll end up with spots guaranteed! You're likely smarter than me, but I thought I'd throw that out there!
