What would be informative is the % of ram 5.7 owners that change their own engine oil.
And % that use a different grade than 5w20 and cocktails of different grades of oil like 4 quarts 0w40 & 3 quarts of 0w20, for example.
Prefer to purchase my own oil with date stamp and have dealership do the oil change so there is record of the OC actually on car fax data base.
Got extra $2000 more for last Dodge trade in because of the car fax oil change record which paid for the dealership charge to change oil at $21/service.
Bulk oil can be old having been storaged in some warehouse for years before going to the dealership.
There a shelf life on engine oils.
Have found even store bought engine oils over four years old.
