Happy to be new member on this forum. Last oil change I'm running qsud 5w20 and wix xp filter. Now I want to run a mix of 5qts of pup5w20 and 2 qts. 0w40 srt.and wix xp filter.Engine has no ticks and is pretty quiet.Has anybody switched to pup and developed tick or had engine noise? Also is this a good mix or just run straight pup5w 20.

Why not run what is recommended by Ram? Please don't overthink it, you can't go wrong by following the manufacturers requirements and more so if an engine warranty issue ever comes up. Welcome to the site !

I run that filter and oil in all my cummins and it seems to work the best.
Baldwin filters out down to 1 microns

There are plenty of good oils out there. Research it, and decide for yourself. I have no issues with Mobil 1 and Castrol. As far as a filter goes don't buy a cheap. I prefer wix or the top of the line puraltor which I am currently running and love. I run castrol synthetic and the purelator boss filter, and I am going to stay with the set up. Just my .02
