Have a 2011 4.7. Have a PO750, so I replaced the Kickdown solenoid, the truck is still stuck in 4th gear. Now I'm thinking PCM or the wiring between the two. If I swap the PCM, is it simple as plug and play or does it néed to be programmed? Did some searches but found nothing for 2011 and up models. HELP!

can you put a 2010-2012 PCM in a 2009 and have it work with the extra features that came out in the later years?

Like what features? If a 2010-2012 PCM is a different part number then no it won’t work.

Well, I just got my PCM updated and I got the "Fuel Saver" option now displaying. I'm not sure if there are other things different in the EVIC and PCM but it would be nice to know the differences from one to the next.

I know for CAM changes Jay suggested that I get my PCM flashed to a 2010 so I could get the "Thump" tune added. Just wanted to know if there are advantages to a new PCM from say 2012 Truck or if 2009 flashed to latest 2012 PCM version could be done and would be beneficial?

Called the stealership, no it's not.

Any local shop that has the right equipment can program it for half the price.
I bought my pcm and brought it to my car computer guy, all that needs to be done is the vin, mileage, wheel size, etc etc.
