Dropped gf at airport (going on a polar bear tour in Kaktovic, AK while I "get" to go to work) and headed to work. About 25 minutes altogether with about 65-70% hwy
This is at idle while getting coffee but at speed was about the same except pressure was about 52

This is "warm" for me, my body runs hot so anything above 75 is too much for me lol. I wear shorts until it is about 5-10 below zero but with my carhartt on. Then just jeans and the same carhartt with a pair of gloves all the way until -45F. Havent really paid attention to what the truck does but will keep an eye out

Will update the post with a screenshot shortly on my way to work.

92° outside, 15 min drive, mostly highway...

- Txmsn Temp seems to stay around the 180° mark

- (side note: my oil pressure varies from low 30's to high 70's/80's when accelerating)

Just chiming in here today. My brand new 2017 Laramie v6 mimics your numbers. The coolant temp seems high, but my service manager says that is pretty typical, but I also see it bounce around to the high 190s and then back up to the 2teens. Active grill shutters must be affecting it???

So what was wrong with the 8 speed that they had to replace it?

It had a loud "Humming" noise when I would back out of the driveway. I originally thought it was coming from the diff.

Took it in and the dealership they said it would be replaced under warranty. They never said what it was and why FCA just didn't want to repair it rather than replace.

Coolant temp while highway driving - 185 - 188 degrees (have a 180 degree thermostat installed)

Trans temp - 185 to 186. Sometimes drops to 179 while decelerating, but jumps right back up as speed is resumed. Will climb to over 190 with spirited acceleration. (have a solid plan to bypass the trans heater & thermal bypass valve, and allow full trans cooler operation, which should drop temps ~ 20 degrees once everything is fully warmed up)

Engine Oil Temp - 199 to 206; it's lower at lower speeds (~65 mph) and higher as speeds increase, or with spirited driving or accelerating uphill. Usually around 194 - 195 on back roads where speeds are 55 mph or so.

Engine oil pressure - 58 psi cold start idle. 49 psi hot highway cruise; jumps to mid 50's on hard acceleration. 39 psi hot idle
(crankcase has mix of 4 qts Amsoil 5w-30 SS, 2 qts Amsoil 0w-40 SS and 1 qt Amsoil 5w-50 SS)

Thanks for the detailed information Sir !

Nice oil Mix by the way , I like it !
Have you done any oil analysis on that mixture ?
If so
I'd like to see the Molybdenum ppm , phosphorus & zinc ppm & Calcium ppm at the end of your oil change interval ...
How many miles do you put on your oil prior to changing Sir ?

Haven't yet done an analysis. The oil mix has just under 4K miles. When it gets around 5K, I'll send for an analysis kit from Blackstone. I normally run the oil for 7500 miles before I change it, so it will be a bit before I take the sample. Also must mention that I've also added a bottle of liqui-moly to that mix which will probably skew molybdenum readings.
My engine has never had the tick (hope it never does). When I do get the results, I'll post them on the "oil thread".
Next OC by the way will be with 100% Castrol Edge 0w-40. Will probably add LubeGuard to that oil as well. LubeGuard seems to be a better moly source than Liqui Moly. Have to thank member Burla for the LubeGuard tip. Hadn't heard of it until reading his comments on the oil thread. It really looks to be a great product.

I'm not NEUROTIC nor do I have O.C.D. Soooo I never check any of the temps, nor do I care...A transmission is going to take a **** whenever it decides it wants to. Your not going to prevent it with more Voo Doo B.S....IMO:happy107:
