Let's start a data base of just your oil change and filter no real discussion needed past that unless you feel like sharing it. Conventional or synthetic and/or additives, pressures and temps as seen through EVIC.

Burla's last oil change over 15k miles on the Ram 2010 5.7, 2 year oil change interval, changed filter at 14 month mark.

5w30 Redline
Royal Purple Filter

Out going oil 5w20 Redline
Royal Purple Filter

Oil Pressure 52psi driving 42psi idle.
Engine Oil Temp and Coolant Temp under 200
Tranny Temp 134

This oil worked to rid my engine tic, engine liked both oils.

RMI 25 added to factory coolant yearly.

2015 ram 5.7 only 5 k on truck now

First change from factory fill at 3k

Did good but MDS seemed sluggish
had light tap till hot
Second change 3600 miles
Went to mobil1 5-20 syn Extended Performance
Mobil1 EP filter
very loud clacking sound at startup in 30 degree weather dumped it out after a week
3rd change

Castrol full syn magnatec in 5-20
Wix -xp premium syn filter
runs very good still has slight tap till hot

Will add moly additive to magnatec with hopes light tap goes away and post results.

Very little startup tick and mild tick at operating temp, Redline seems to have quieted both slightly

0w20 seemed best so far.
No tick that I have noticed since I purchased the truck.

Out: Penn Platn 5w-20 and Mobile M1

Note: Out oil and filter gave slight tic at cold start over OCI (4000). In oil and filter no tic (same as factory)..

Yes no worries at all with 5w30. Many guys running it and Syn and RLK are even going thicker I believe.

First oil change ever.
Outgoing OEM oil and filter @ 1100 miles
Ingoing 5w-20 Amsoil SS & Amsoil filter
2300 total miles

No tick (cross my fingers). Oil 33psi at warm idle.
About 52-53psi at highway speed.

Ingoing Filter: Mopar SRT Filter, 5038041AA
Outgoing Oil: Ford dealership bulk 5w-20 (bought it used from a Ford dealership)
Outgoing Filter: No-name brand (not sure where dealer got it)
