7ea qts of Redline 10W-30 is what I'm running now and it's very smooth.

I've ran a 50/50 mix of 0W-40 & 5W-30 in the past and it was very smooth as well [emoji1303][emoji1303]

No text message needed, could tell the difference almost immediately. Got almost 1000 miles on it now and just keeps getting better. Wish I had put redline in at first change after FF, would have saved me alot of headaches and wasted oil.

The 5W20 is really too thin and is more about trying to ring out every last bit of fuel economy more than anything else with long term durability playing 2nd fiddle. 5W30 is thicker initially, obviously and won't shear down as much over time and will cling to the metal better to make those dry starts less cringeworthy keeping Hemi tick and possible cam and lifter problems at bay.

So you went with the Fram ultra huh? I've been reading a lot of oil filter reviews esp. on Amazon and they don't seem to be as good as I hoped for the RP filter thats spoken so highly of and now you've brought a little more indecision into it with that pic.Haha!
