2006 1500 hemi 196 000 km
8-10 k kms or 6 months (what ever comes first) oil change interval
Filter is napa platinum changed every 12 months
Oil is pennzoil platinum 5w30

Notes: had sewing machine noise with valvoline syn power at beginning of ownership. Have been running pp for some time now with no noise and oil consumption has decreased noticeably.

2014 Ram 4x4 , QC , 5.7L , 6 Speed xsmn , 3.55 differentials.

@ 26,500 miles
Out = free dealer oil changes & Mopar filter .

In = Redline 5W -30 & Royal Purple 10-48 filter.

Notes = Engine never had tick ,but now much quieter & smoother .

idle is +10 - 12 psig ( now 41ish )
Oil temp @ 190°+ driving = 53 ish+ psig.

Added RMI-25 to coolant with last oil change @ 26k

5-30 Kendal with titanium , K&N oil filter

this is the best i found in my country

7000 miles on it till now ,First time using 5-30 engine is quieter and engine temp bit lower than when was using 5-20 but still have tick at start up

15,300 miles 5.7L

Out: pennzoil gold 5w20 with mopar factory filter (5k oci)

In: pennzoil platinum ultra with 5w20 10-48 RP filter and shooting for 7500 oci

Oil pressure up 1-2 psi overall i think it's due to filter
Went from 32 to 34 at idle and 53 to 55 while driving.

Engine sounds exactly the same after I changed the oil to PUP only have had the new oil for a day so maybe it will change over time. Engine isn't silent but I wouldn't say it has a tick by any means

2015 Sport with 5.7L and about 12,250 miles.
in: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5-20 ( free from the pennzoil program ) and fram synthetic filter
out: Mobil 1 5-20 and fram synthetic filter.

Notes

First oil change was around 2500 miles to remove factory fill. Replaced with mobil 1 5-20 and fram syntehtic filer. 10 months and about 10k miles later i just completed the second oil change. I never noticed a tick with my motor with the factory fill or the mobil 1. Lets see what the PUP does.

EVIC showed 30% good at 6800 miles on regular Mobile One synthetic.
Went with Mobile one Extended with filter 5w 20 this time around.

Summer oil Change 2 months early but-->The Not Knowing was about to eat me alive!

Oil Out--->PU {non GTL} 5W-30 w/150ml MoS2
Filter----->Fram Ultra

Oil In----->4-Qts PUP {GTL} 5W-30 & 3-Qts SRT 0W-40 Combo!
Filter----->Fram Ultra

December will be next OCI...
I added the SRT 0W-40 for the Extra 241 ppm of Infinium Tri-nuclear Moly per Qt...

She has NEVER sounded better! Very Responsive! Very Smooth/Quiet Idle! MDS seems to Really Like this Combo!
She is a Stealth Cruiser on the Interstate/Turnpike! I think we have a Winner!

6792 Mi (11,320 km) @ 8 months

Out--OEM factory oil and filter

In-- Pennz Platinum 5W20 and Fram Ultra Synthetic (XG10060)

EVIC showed 30% and all the dummy gauges showed hovering around the middle (oil pressure/temp)-- No idea what the numbers were (plus they are in Kpal)

Next OCI is 6,000mi (10,000 km)

I have a 2015 Big Horn 5.7L and I just changed mine at 10,300 for the first time. The light came on at 10,000. I thought that was weird and figured it was set to a certain interval of miles (10,000). I will probably start changing it at a shorter interval however.

If you have a question for the owner of the post and it is bothering you that much that he is using something that you disagree with... Send him a private message...Asking Why

Most owners who post here I am sure really don't want to be questioned about their selection of Oil & Filter...It does get annoying after a while...
