People are full of ****, I've run 4 UOA's with my K&N and no increase over stock. Save yourself the money if that's all you are looking for

First is stock filter, rest is with K&N.

I don't have a baseline with paper filter, just want to see if I'm with in "healthy" limits. I had a home made intake system on it so I may have to run 2, if outside the healthy limit.

Damn your doing 4+ oil changes a year at that average ....what do you do Sir that requires over 30,000 miles a year driving ?

Used to deliver travel trailers, ordered the trk from the factory so it was set up the way I wanted it, took delivery in Feb of 06, started delivery of trls in March same year, and by 2nd week of Dec that same year had exceeded my 100,000 warranty. Used it one more year, then bought a Freightliner so I could deliver 2 or 3 at a time. Quit doing that in August of 2011 and most of the miles on the pickup since then has been from running 100 miles a day round trip for work

Nice! That's the same oil/filter I ran in my old '01 F250 7.3. Bought new in '01, sold to my friend in '05 with 268k miles. It's still running strong today with over 500k miles on it.

7 quarts redline 5/30 and a royal purple 10-28, all set for a while. Getting the factory filter of was a PITA. Also got a oil sample to send off.

Over 100,500.

Drained 5w20 pennzoil, replaced with 5w20 pennzoil non synthetic high mileage. Replaced filter with fram. (Same as before)

Truck runs great.

Has anyone had any issues with installing the larger RP 20-870 vs the smaller one on the 5.7? Is it any more effort to get it on, and are there any known benefits?

A few members are running it , (Hemi395) is one I remember off hand ....I've heard nothing negative , in fact only positive .
I purchased 2ea & will be installing next time I replace my filter ....maybe someone who's installed the RP20-820 will reply .

That will be my next filter, hold alittle more oil and has more filter area .
Can't see a down side on it.

Last oil change at 20,000km right on the dot, Pennzoil ultra platinum 5w-20 with a mobil 1 synthetic oil filter for a 2010 ram (bigger filter than the 2013+).

Next oil change will be at 30k and I'll be running an analysis through blackstone on whats in there now.
