Alright sorry if this has been hashed out a 1000 times. I only have a phone and when I try to search it keeps kicking me out of the keyboard ie. not letting me type.

With the 5.7 8spd and 3.92 going from a stock[ 33x10] to 35x12.5. I should expect to lose 5mpg and my gearing should be roughly equivalent to a 3.73.

how is the highway performance ,passing, does the trans shift out of 8th etc. how do you guys with a lift and 35's like your performance and any regrets?

My 2012 was on a 5" and 35s with the 5.7 Hemi, 65RFE 6-speed, and 3.55 gears. 2ab215162fff4430640ba7a51249d3db.jpg still had gobs of passing power and could still chirp them from a stop. With your truck making 5HP and 3TQ than mine (going to electric power steering in 13), having lower gears (3.92 vs 3.55) and having an 8-speed vs my 6-speed, I'm sure you'll be fine. Current truck has 2 1/2" and 35s with the 5.7 Hemi, 66RFE 6-speed and 4.10s59694dae05a421ae97335e9749dc1b6e.jpgEven being a 3/4 ton now, having lower gears gives me better passing power and off the line. Hope this helps some

35s and 3.92s is almost ideal, you will be totally fine. Losing 5mpg is an extreme case too IMO, id expect something around 3 unless you have super wide/heavy wheels and tires. Regardless of that, you are totally fine. You still have a more aggressive final drive ratio than most of the stock trucks. Just make sure you fix your speedo, that's the most important part.

Just a question for you guys I have a 2016 Ecodiesel and I'm planning on putting the bilstein 5100's set at 2.8 on it with possibly a 1" lift in the rear. Not sure what wheels I'll go with but I'm thinking of going to 34x12.50 for tires so my question is will they fit without rubbing or do I need a wheel with a little offset to prevent rubbing? Also how do you go about getting the speedo corrected so it's registering the correct speed? Any help is much appreciated this is my first 4x4 truck

If you do a 20x9 with 0 offset, you shouldnt have any issues.

I am running 285×65×20 which is basically a 35x11.
I lost .07 mpg, after Jay Greene tune I got it back and then some. I lost a little low end but regained it with the tune. I didn't lose a thing in ride quality.

I have a 5.7 8-speed 3.92 4x4. Bro, whether you have the stock SR-As or 35x12.5r20s, like I do currently, I have found my truck has been thirsty regardless. The truck slams gasoline like a frat boy hitting a beer bong lol. Has there been a 5 mpg loss you ask? Perhaps. Maybe close 3-4. I never calculate so I can't tell you for sure. The Costco guy working the pump seems to know my name now that I put on the 35s.

Now as far as a power loss. There is a power loss but the truck still pulls hard merging, passing and climbing with my 35"s just like my old factory SR-As. However, it just needs a bit more RPM to pull it off.

I have no regrets with going to a larger tire. My truck is still feels powerful in my opinion and I will never put a smaller tire on.

Hope my opinion helps.

I have 35s, about to leap to 37s early next year. I don't care about fuel mileage. I love driving my truck so mpg isn't a concern, it's about smiles per gallon.

If you want a lifted truck that can still move about a little bit then go 35's or better , your choice. If you are aiming for a faster truck, I wouldn't go any bigger than 33's, maybe even drop it and go smaller..... all depends on your personal goals. 35's are heavy (usually ~70lbs give or take) 33's can be as light as ~50lbs and so on. Rotational mass can make a BIG difference. I had 35's with 20" aftermarket wheels and the combo weighed in at ~120lbs per wheel. I switched to 22" forged wheels with a 33 and went down to ~ 75 lbs per wheel. Made it a noticeable difference all around.

You can see my truck in my gallery. It has the exact setup you are talking about. 275/65R20

I think the Sr a 's go 40 lbs .I'm looking at Mickey Thompsons which list at 65 which is a big jump.I went from a 28 on my jeep to a 33 and it was gutless but at least I could have re geared . I just didn't want the truck to be a slug in exchange for looks. I love the power on this thing. I don't remember my 05 giving me the grins like this one does.

5 mpg loss is correct. I lost about 4-5 with my 2014 8 speed 3.92 gears when I lifted it and put 35's on.

As for power, you will notice a difference, but it won't be bad. When I tuned mine, added an S&B CAI and exhaust it was faster than the truck was with stock tires and height.
