I been replacing quite a few long blocks last 2 had 18k miles and 8k miles lower rod bearings failed while on highway! Unknown why since but I think the oil they are running is 2 thin so make sure they are putting the 5w40 in ur ecos instead of the 5w30 info only!

The dealer put Rotella 5w-40 in mine at 1,000 miles for free due to the spec change. I will be doing the oil changes myself from now on and I have a big jug of Rotella ready to go. I can't trust my local dealers at all. I'm sure they would still dump the 5w30 euro stuff in since they have it on the shelf and won't be able to get rid of it...

Yes ur right I see it happen through express lane it happens especially to customers that don't know any better just wanted to help anyone out that I can!

Wow this is crazy. This will please all the guys who insist on running 5W-30 instead of 5W-20 for the same reason.
