He is right, I have that copy of car and driver, they used the new eco diesel so don't be disappointed. From motor trends to drive the 5.7 liter trucks were faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile.

My leasing is up on my RAM 1500 2013. Yesterday I went to test-drive a F150 Platinum Ecoboost for the first time.
The "punch" on the F150 stock is slightly better than my RAM with HF tune, but I didn't feel it was too much difference.
I really wish they had a RAM with the 6.4 engine available, it would be perfect.

While I agree the truck is not for 0-60, I would not mind the extra power. My second car is a X6 50i and I ended up getting used to the quick response.

Nothing beat the comfort of the truck though. I decided I am buying it out.

Car and Driver used the 5.7 Hemi with a 3.21 rear end. It ran 0-60 in 7.4 seconds.

The Eco Boost 3.5 did the same thing in 5.7 seconds.

The Eco Diesel is even slower at 9.something.

Back to the original question. How much does the 3.21/8 give up to the 3.92?

Exactly 0.71.

No more, no less.

Yet I know for a fact that the Ecoboost is not quite that fast and the ram is quicker than that. Maybe the Tremor is around 5.5-5.7 stock but my coworker with the Ecoboost truck is quick but not as quick as C/D make it to be.

The difference in the 3.21s and the 3.92s are not going to be much. As a matter of fact because of the 8 speed gearing I bet it's a lot closer than the difference between these two ratios in the old 5/6 speed gearing.
