When you switch the muffler, do the nubs on the pipe have to be removed? Or, do you just push the pipe in to the nub?

I have no idea.

I ordered my system and had it shipped to the dealer. When I arrived to take delivery, it was installed. No extra charge :) Oh, and I sold the NOS system to an employee for $100...

A local shop here in Toronto Canada called ‘Hotrod Scott’s’ does the valved exhaust, with a bit of a straight pipe past the ‘Y’ pipe to help with moving the sound further back past the cab, and it seems to work very well.

Anyone here do this kind of setup in their Ram? Go from stock to nasty and back again with the push of a button?

I am really contemplating going with this kind of set up to have flexibility on the go.

Hey guys! it's been a while and I finally made the big move, traded in my old 06 1500 quad cab hemi with 300k kms for a beautiful hydro blue 21 warlock crew cab hemi
as you can imagine I was itching real bad for some exhaust sound like a junkie on a park bench, so at 2900kms off came the stock y pipe and water tank muffler and in went a 2.5" x pipe and two 2.5" totalflow single chamber mufflers
re used the stock tailpipes and tips
it's amazing!
