Read another post on here and now I feel like it would be a good idea to get a oil catch can. What do you guys recommend for my truck? Is the install straight forward and do I need anything else?

Billet Technology just rolled out a whole bunch more with their catchcans and such. Their new catch cans have a clear site glass bottom to them if you lik them. I have their old one and its a simple easy installation and quality piece IMO

Billet Tech here as well. I have run them on my last 4 Hemi trucks and have 1 on my Wife's 5.7 Grand Cherokee also.

BT installed here. Easy / Fast install --->
I always dump mine at the start of every OCI & Half way through my OCI (3,500-4,500 miles) I empty again. She is normally 1/4 full.

Takes about 2 min to unscrew/drain/wipe out/screw back on.

Matt does the Billet Tech can fit the 3.6 Jeep's also? I would like to put 1 on my wife's Grand Cherokee? Or does the 3.6 even need 1?

none, our trucks are not direct injection. not the same risk of carbon buildup as DI cars.

We have about 40 of the satin Billet Tech cans in stock with brass fittings and standard PCV hose. The custom color cans have to ship direct from BT and take about a month to ship.

You can order it through us as well, but it would just ship directly from BT. They have the same 20 business day lead time on all colored cans.

I'd rather support your business, even knowing the time and how it works. Once I get the GF on board I will be ordering some stuff for the charger to dress it up

Do you carry the ones with the clear bottoms or do they come direct from BT?

I wonder how the clear bottoms hold up to longterm abuse. I sure do want one

Billet Tech stopped selling the clear bottoms about a year ago because they were not holding up over time. If they are producing them again, they have not mentioned it to us yet, so I will have to contact them tomorrow to check.

You might want to re-think that. I've collected over 40 oz of funky milkshake in the 50K miles I've put on my catch can equipped Ram.

That fuel diluted oil and water mess from your PCV can lead to pre-detonation that causes the PCM to pull timing. If you run Premium gas you might not notice, but I prefer not spending an extra dollar a gallon.

Same oily stuff covers the inside of your intake manifold and can pool around your valve seats causing varnish and fouling.

So, its your choice, but do us all a favor and let us know where you trade your truck in, so we can avoid it.
