I have a 2016 3500, 6.4 hemi. The truck has 1700 miles on it and I've had it for almost 2 months. The remote start has been acting up when the truck is warm. Such as running into a store, then hitting the remote start to warm it up as we are walking to it. You can hear the starter crank over the engine, but doesn't fire. When cold, the truck starts fine with it. Any ideas?

The truck has well over 1/4 of a tank and starts fine when cold and it has done this when 3/4+ as well. It also starts immediately when I have the key fob inside & use the push button start. My 1/2 ton truck never had this issue...

Might want to have the dealer make sure the PCM is up to date and not throwing any codes; mine did that before the SC tuning. Any thrown code will cancel remote start for "safety" reasons.

I'll probably run it to the dealer when I get a chance. No lights or issues on the dash though... Seems like its not getting gas or spark when remote start is used on a warm truck and remote start.

If have a 2011 Laramie 4X4 5.7 Hemi and here lately the last week or so my remote is starting on its own. I did read on a thread about the voltage on the battery?//Will check this today. I also heard it could be the battery in the key fob, which I changed and no joy..did it this morning. I have noticed if I manually lock the doors and don't use the key fob it seems not to happen.
Sometimes it will fully start after I walk about 10 feet away and sometimes it will chirp "once" like it will start but the message screen on the dash says aborted...Battery is fairly new but not ruling that out...Any Ideas????

Finally had a chance to get my truck into the shop today. There were multiple software updates, and EGR (RRT), and transmission solenoid (RRT) that will be performed. Unfortunately, the parts won't be here tomorrow. Maybe these updates will help the starting issue. No codes were reported when the truck failed ot start, of course... Does anyone know what the EGR & Transmission solenoid issue are reported to be?

The dealer should have looked up the Remote Start Inhibit and Abort event history. It would have given them the miles and reason when a remote start was inhibited or aborted.

Did they say anything about that, or just that no codes were present and it needs updates?

They supposedly looked up history, no abort histories were recorded. This was the main reason I brought the truck in. It has 2300 miles on her so far. While it was in, they noticed the EGR & transmission solenoid issue for my truck. They thought maybe the EGR could have caused the truck not starting, but it should have thrown a code or had an event log.
